Kimberly Vargas Agnese
Kimberly Vargas Agnese is a West Coast Native American poet of Mayan and Chichimec descent who writes about environmental and social justice issues. Kimberly is the author of "Kadupul Flower" and was named a finalist for the 2022 Andres Montoya Poetry Prize, awarded by the Institute for Latino Studies at the University of Notre Dame. Kimberly's writing appears in "Anacua Literary Arts Journal," "The Rappahannock Review" and "Seventh Wave Magazine," among others. Kimberly resides in Fresno, California, where she cultivates a food forest with her adult daughter.
