Ho-Chunk Nation Breaks Ground on Second-Largest Casino in Wisconsin

The Ho-Chunk Nation broke ground on the tribal nation’s new Beloit-based casino. The massive space, set to open in 2026, underwent construction last Friday, October 25.

The new casino is a $405 million project that’s set to feature 1,500 slot machines, 4 restaurants, 44 game tables, a casino bar, and a sportsbook. With all these impressive features, the Ho-Chunk casino will be the second-largest casino in the state of Wisconsin.

After this initial phase of the casino is complete, the space plans to add a hotel with over 300 rooms and a conference center.

One of the most desired aspects of the casino is the number of jobs that the project will provide. That said, it’s anticipated the casino will create about 3,000 jobs during construction, and 1,500 jobs once the casino actually opens.

The Ho-Chunk casino is an incredibly valuable project. From the thousands of jobs it will create to the positive impacts it will have on the Ho-Chunk Nation, 2026 will be an exciting year!
