Substance Abuse
Alcohol and substance abuse are two significant concerns for the Native American community. Although they make up less than 2% of the country’s population, Native Americans experience the highest rates of problem drinking (binge and underage drinking) and substance abuse. Factors like historical suppression, poverty, and racism are part of the reason these statistics remain prevalent. That said, our Substance Abuse page is designed to provide helpful resources to combat these issues. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you’re interested in sponsoring or being part of our Substance Abuse page.
